Transmedia content can be found in every direction you turn. It involves a story being told in various forms, using different media sites each time. An example that I know and love the most, is Harry Potter! First, the books were released, to then have been backed up by movies, turned into video games, and now we even have an official Pottermore website, created from JK Rowling herself!
This form of transmedia storytelling was indeed successful, and is still being viewed and engaged in by users today. (I’m guilty of taking part in all forms of this Harry Potter trans media content).
Transmedia content is hence proved to be successful in it’s endeavours time and time again, whether used as an advertising agent for a product or brand, or just various forms of extension of an existing story.
